Job Description
Presales and Solution Development
- Engage with customers to understand business needs, challenges, and IT infrastructure requirements
- Design and propose tailored solutions leveraging technologies from Oracle, Huawei, Veritas, Broadcom, Veeam, Commvault, Dell, HP, Hitachi, Suse, and other partners
- Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts to showcase value propositions
- Work with sales teams to create and respond to RFPs/RFIs with detailed technical specifications and competitive pricing strategies
Opportunity and Relationship Management
- Identify and create new business opportunities by proactively engaging with existing and potential customers
- Collaborate with account managers to nurture customer relationships and drive sales cycles to closure
- Act as the technical point of contact for customers during the presales process, ensuring their requirements are accurately captured and addressed
Technical Expertise and Thought Leadership
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in IT infrastructure technologies, including Oracle Engineered Systems, SPARC Servers, x86 Hardware, Storage Systems, Backup, Disaster Recovery, High Availability, Virtualization (VMware, KVM), and DevOps practices
- Provide strategic guidance to customers on IT infrastructure transformation, optimization, and best practices
- Train and mentor internal teams on emerging technologies and solution offerings
Collaboration and Partner Engagement
- Work closely with technology partners to align on joint solution offerings and leverage their expertise for complex customer requirements
- Coordinate with internal teams, including sales, delivery, and support, to ensure seamless execution of projects
Person Specification
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
- Minimum of 08 years of experience in IT infrastructure presales or consulting roles
- Proven expertise in Oracle Engineered Systems, SPARC servers, x86 hardware (Dell, HP, Huawei, Lenovo), storage systems (enterprise and midrange), backup solutions (NetBackup, Commvault, Veeam), disaster recovery, and virtualization (VMware, KVM)
- Relevant certifications from Oracle, VMware, Dell, HP, Huawei, or similar vendors are highly desirable
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and enterprise architecture
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to design innovative solutions
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Self-motivated and result-oriented with a strong drive for achieving sales and business goals
- Proficiency in tools for creating technical documentation, solution diagrams, and presentations
