Role Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimize, implement, and maintain our organizations Linux-based systems and core services while understanding the needs of stakeholders.

Job Description

  • Support the requests of the production and development teams to solve any problems related with the Linux servers
  • Install, configure and maintain servers in a mixed Windows and Linux environment
  • Manage, monitor, and maintain Linux workloads running on virtualized infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Linux systems and applications. Optimize system performance, resource utilization, and scalability
  • Support server hardware maintenance and upgrades
  • Implement and manage global patching for Linux servers to address security vulnerabilities and system stability. Ensure compliance with corporate security policies and industry best practices
  • Design, develop, and implement infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools through scripts such as BASH and Python
  • Engage in Infrastructure Automation and Configuration Management. (e.g.: Shell scripting, Ansible, Puppet)
  • Supporting the migrations of end-of-life Linux OS versions to newer versions of Linux operating systems and reducing the EOL footprint
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Lead/Guide in technical tool proof of concepts and end-to-end implementation
  • Work collaboratively with Stakeholders

Person Specification

  • Degree from a Reputed Institute
  • Certified in RHCE
  • Experience in linux-based storage, services, and infrastructure by building, maintaining, provisioning, securing, and optimizing digital systems that operate using cloud technology
  • Experience in working with Zabbix, Grafana, Nagios or any other monitoring tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) including system administration, security, performance tuning and troubleshooting in enterprise environments
  • An understanding of Infrastructure Automation and Configuration Management tools. (e.g Git, Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet)
  • 7+ Years of experience in IT industry
