Job Description

  • Design, implement, administer, and support enterprise infrastructure and platform solutions, including virtualization, container platforms, cloud-native technologies, and hyperconverged infrastructure
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms, container runtimes, and related ecosystem components
  • Support Nutanix infrastructure, including cluster administration, lifecycle management, monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning
  • Manage and support Linux-based operating systems and associated platform services
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure automation, configuration management, and platform provisioning solutions
  • Participate in the design, deployment, and support of Platform Engineering and DevOps-related solutions, including CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and infrastructure-as-code initiatives
  • Perform system health monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
  • Support platform upgrades, patching, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation activities in accordance with organizational standards and customer requirements
  • Collaborate with solution architects, project teams, application teams, and customer stakeholders during solution design and implementation
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, architecture diagrams, and knowledge base articles
  • Provide technical assistance during customer workshops, proof-of-concepts, project implementations, and production support activities
  • Participate in technical evaluations, solution testing, and validation of new technologies and platforms
  • Work with principal vendors and technology partners to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement best practices
  • Contribute to competency development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Infrastructure & Platforms practice
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers where applicable
  • Support after-hours maintenance, planned activities, and critical incident resolution when required

Person Specification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Relevant certifications in Kubernetes, Nutanix, Linux, VMware, Cloud, Automation, or related technologies will be an added advantage
  • Exposure to Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift, RKE2, Rancher, Tanzu, or similar container orchestration technologies
  • Exposure to Nutanix technologies including AHV, Prism Central, and the Nutanix ecosystem
  • Working knowledge of Linux administration across distributions such as RHEL, Ubuntu, and SUSE
  • Familiarity with VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), and virtualization technologies
  • Experience with version control platforms such as Git, GitLab, and GitHub
  • Exposure to CI/CD and automation tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Tekton, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
  • Familiarity with container technologies including Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
  • Exposure to monitoring, logging, and observability platforms
  • Understanding of enterprise infrastructure concepts including storage, networking, security, backup, and high-availability architectures
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
