Job Description
- Configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise firewalls, including Fortinet FortiGate and Check Point
- Implement and manage firewall policies, NAT rules, VPN tunnels, security policies, and traffic routing technologies
- Configure, administer, and optimize load balancers to ensure high availability, efficient traffic distribution, and optimal application performance
- Support Linux-based hosting environments, including FTP server administration, user management, and secure file transfer services
- Monitor network performance, investigate security alerts, and independently troubleshoot network, security, and connectivity issues
- Perform routine security audits and recommend improvements to strengthen the organization's security posture
- Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, security policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Participate in an after-hours on-call support rotation to respond to critical network incidents and ensure continuous operational availability
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and industry best practices
Person Specification
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related discipline
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering, Network Security, or Systems Administration
- Required Certifications: Fortinet NSE 4 and CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or an equivalent Routing & Switching certification (Mandatory); Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) (Optional)
- Proven experience administering and troubleshooting Fortinet FortiGate and Check Point firewalls
- Experience configuring and managing load balancers or Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs)
- Solid knowledge of Linux administration, including FTP servers, user permissions, and web hosting environments
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Routing & Switching, VLAN, DNS, VPN technologies, Network security principles
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
