Job Description

  • Configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise firewalls, including Fortinet FortiGate and Check Point
  • Implement and manage firewall policies, NAT rules, VPN tunnels, security policies, and traffic routing technologies
  • Configure, administer, and optimize load balancers to ensure high availability, efficient traffic distribution, and optimal application performance
  • Support Linux-based hosting environments, including FTP server administration, user management, and secure file transfer services
  • Monitor network performance, investigate security alerts, and independently troubleshoot network, security, and connectivity issues
  • Perform routine security audits and recommend improvements to strengthen the organization's security posture
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, security policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call support rotation to respond to critical network incidents and ensure continuous operational availability
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and industry best practices

Person Specification

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering, Network Security, or Systems Administration
  • Required Certifications: Fortinet NSE 4 and CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or an equivalent Routing & Switching certification (Mandatory); Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) (Optional)
  • Proven experience administering and troubleshooting Fortinet FortiGate and Check Point firewalls
  • Experience configuring and managing load balancers or Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs)
  • Solid knowledge of Linux administration, including FTP servers, user permissions, and web hosting environments
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Routing & Switching, VLAN, DNS, VPN technologies, Network security principles
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
