CAD Designer (Fixed Term)

Job Description

• Prepare ELV design drawings, shop drawings, layout drawings, detailed drawings, schematic diagrams, service coordination drawings, and as-built drawings
• Interpret and work with Structural, Architectural, Civil, and Reflected Ceiling Plan (RCP) drawings.
• Coordinate ELV drawings with MEP services to ensure accurate and clash-free installations
• Produce high-quality drawings in compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and international drafting standards using AutoCAD.
• Prepare and update drawing information required for Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
• Develop detailed drawings for ELV systems, including Structured Cabling, Data & Voice, CCTV, Fire Detection & Alarm, BMS, Access Control, Public Address (PA), IPTV, and MATV systems
• Conduct site visits to take measurements, verify site conditions, and prepare necessary detailed drawings
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and submission documentation
• Prepare plotting, printing, and drawing submissions in accordance with project requirements
• Utilize AutoCAD and other CAD-related software to improve drafting efficiency and accuracy
• Coordinate with project teams to update and revise drawings during installation and project execution stages
• Work on-site and in different shifts as required to support project schedules and operational needs
• Be capable of achieving assigned targets and delivering work according to project timelines
• Be willing to travel, work on-site, and adapt to different shift schedules based on project requirements

Person Specification

• Possess a Diploma or Certificate in Engineering, Drafting, CAD Technology, or a related field
• Hold NVQ certification, TVEC-approved certification, or Revit certification, which will be considered an added advantage
• Have 3–5 years of experience in ELV drafting, CAD operations, or a related field
• Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD-related software.
• Possess a good understanding of Structural, Architectural, Civil, Ceiling, and MEP drawings
• Have knowledge of ELV systems, including Structured Cabling, Data & Voice, CCTV, Fire Detection, BMS, Access Control, PA, IPTV, and MATV systems
• Demonstrate understanding of BOQ preparation and project documentation processes
• Possess good computer literacy and a good command of written and spoken English
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under project deadlines
