Engineer - Infrastructure

Job Description

• Manage and support enterprise infrastructure platforms and related systems
• Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for infrastructure-related incidents
• Support implementation, maintenance, and upgrade activities for servers, storage, virtualization, and SAN environments
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure stable operations
• Support ongoing infrastructure projects and ensure the timely delivery of assigned tasks
• Maintain and administer Oracle Solaris and Linux operating systems
• Manage and support Oracle, HP, and Dell server platforms
• Support virtualization and hyperconverged platforms, including HPE SimpliVity, Nutanix, and Huawei FusionCube
• Administer and support storage platforms, including Hitachi, Huawei, and HPE storage solutions
• Support SAN infrastructure configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Maintain proper documentation for infrastructure configurations, procedures, and changes
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and customers for issue resolution and project activities
• Ensure infrastructure systems comply with operational standards, security policies, and best practices

Person Specification

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (BSc Engineering) or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or a related field
• Experience in managing and supporting enterprise infrastructure environments
• Good knowledge of Oracle Solaris and Linux operating systems
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, HP, and Dell server platforms
• Knowledge of virtualization and hyperconverged platforms such as HPE SimpliVity, Nutanix, and Huawei FusionCube
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms including Hitachi, Huawei, and HPE storage solutions
• Good understanding of SAN technologies and infrastructure
• Ability to work on multiple projects and operational tasks simultaneously
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks within agreed timelines
• Relevant technical certifications will be an added advantage
