Role Summary:
Mission Engineering Consultation seeks an experienced Lab Manager with a robust background in the Saudi market, ideally with a decade of relevant experience and a proven track record in sales generation. The successful candidate will leverage their connections in the Saudi giga projects and engineering sectors to enhance our laboratory services, maintain high standards of testing and quality assurance, and expand business opportunities. The Lab Manager will play a strategic role in overseeing daily lab operations, ensuring compliance with all standards, and fostering business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Laboratory Management:
- Oversee and coordinate daily lab operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.
- Develop and maintain testing protocols and quality standards in line with national and international guidelines.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of testing services.
Business Development & Sales:
- Utilize connections within the Saudi market and giga projects to generate new business and sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to establish partnerships and expand laboratory services across relevant sectors.
- Identify and capitalize on market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to drive revenue growth.
Client Relations:
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients, government entities, and stakeholders within the engineering and giga project sectors.
- Ensure excellent customer service standards by regularly interfacing with clients to understand and meet their testing requirements.
Technical Leadership:
- Lead a team of lab technicians and engineers, providing training, mentorship, and technical guidance.
- Stay current on industry advancements and ensure the lab is equipped with state-of-the-art tools and techniques.
- Manage the procurement of laboratory equipment and supplies in coordination with the procurement team.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory standards and industry-specific guidelines.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on lab operations, testing outcomes, and financial performance.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize operational risks and ensure data integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related technical field; a Masters degree is preferred.
