JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, contribute to architectural decisions, and help drive engineering best practices across the team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications and services.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services and databases.
• Participate in system design and architecture discussions for new features and products.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and other developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
• Stay current with emerging Java frameworks, tools, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong proficiency in Core Java and Java 8+ features (streams, lambdas, functional interfaces).
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security).
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and writing efficient SQL queries.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Understanding of unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and test-driven development (TDD).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ).
• Exposure to NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer) are an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over code quality.
