About the role
We are partnering with a long-term client to build a suite of SaaS products aimed at transforming the civil engineering industry. After two years of development and approaching the initial market launch, we are looking for a Tech Team Lead who can guide the platform’s technical direction while leading the engineering team through a critical delivery phase.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will combine technical strategy, architecture ownership, and active coding while mentoring and guiding the engineering team.

You will work closely with product and program leadership to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, while ensuring high standards of engineering quality and delivery.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering working with React, Typescript, and Python
• 2–3+ years of experience in a Tech Lead or Engineering Leadership role
• Proven experience building and delivering SaaS platforms
• Strong full-stack development experience
• Experience supporting products through launch or scaling phases
• Exposure to technically complex domains such as civil engineering, construction tech, GIS, or similar is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assess the current state of the platform and propose improvements in architecture, tech stack, and engineering practices
• Define and maintain technical standards across the stack (frontend, backend, APIs, data, and infrastructure)
• Evaluate build vs. buy decisions, integrations, and scalability considerations as the product approaches launch
• Act as the main technical authority in discussions with stakeholders and leadership
• Contribute directly to the codebase across the full stack
• Lead by example in code quality, testing, documentation, and engineering best practices
• Take ownership of technically complex or high-impact features
