Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager – Housekeeping / Soft Services to oversee housekeeping operations and soft service functions across facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional cleanliness standards, managing service teams, coordinating vendors, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, and delivering a safe, hygienic, and well-maintained environment while ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Forecast and plan large-scale manpower requirements to ensure seamless 24/7 operations across the 50-floor office tower and 5-story mall.
- Manage relationships with external Soft Service providers and vendors, ensuring strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Direct the comprehensive management of all wet and dry garbage collection, segregation, and recycling programs for the entire 800,000 sqft premises.
- Analyze operational data—such as footfall trends, consumable usage, customer feedback, and performance metrics—to identify trends and optimize cleaning frequencies.
- Oversee the strategic allocation and rostering of a large janitorial workforce via facility supervisors, ensuring optimal coverage during peak mall hours and after-hours corporate cleaning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in Soft Services, Housekeeping, or Facilities Management.
- Minimum of 4 years in a managerial capacity overseeing a large workforce (100+ staff/vendors).
- Extensive experience drafting, negotiating, and enforcing SLAs and KPIs for outsourced janitorial, waste management, and pest control contracts.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to negotiate with external vendors, present reports to senior management, and enforce compliance with premium corporate tenants.
- Strong ability to motivate, train, and manage a diverse,
blue-collar workforce across multiple shifts.
