Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager – Human Resources to support and manage core HR functions within a fast-growing investment and diversified business environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, HR operations, and organizational development initiatives while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

This role requires strong people management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to support a high-performance corporate culture across diverse business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of HR strategies, policies, and organizational initiatives.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for multiple business functions.
  • Handle employee relations matters, disciplinary procedures, and workplace conflict resolution.
  • Coordinate performance management, employee evaluations, and talent development programs.
  • Maintain employee records, HR databases, attendance, and leave administration.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Support learning and development initiatives to enhance employee capabilities and engagement.
  • Assist in workforce planning and organizational restructuring initiatives when required.
  • Prepare HR reports, analytics, and management presentations.
  • Promote employee engagement and maintain a positive and professional work culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4–6 years of HR experience in a corporate or diversified business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan labor laws and HR operational practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and HR management systems.
  • Professional qualifications such as CIPM or PQHRM will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
