Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Associate - Financial Reporting & Analysis to support the Finance team in delivering accurate financial reporting, meaningful analysis, and operational support across the business. The role involves working closely with both Finance and commercial teams, offering exposure to financial performance analysis, budgeting, revenue reporting, and business operations within a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and related schedules
  • Prepare variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Maintain and reconcile financial data across internal reporting systems
  • Support ad-hoc financial and operational analysis for management decision-making
  • Assist in preparing profitability and performance analysis across business units
  • Help analyse sales performance, pricing trends, and revenue movements
  • Contribute to improving reporting accuracy and financial visibility
  • Perform routine financial and tax compliance checks
  • Support revenue validation processes to ensure accuracy and minimise revenue leakage
  • Assist in reviewing operational and compliance checklists
  • Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
  • Assist in preparing financial models and analysis to support planning activities
  • Help monitor financial performance against budget and forecast expectations
  • Support external statutory audit requirements by preparing requested schedules and documentation
  • Assist in ensuring financial records and supporting documents remain audit-ready
  • Provide support for regulatory and internal compliance reviews where required

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in audit, finance, accounting, or analytical roles Part-qualified or currently pursuing a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or an equivalent qualification
  • Sound knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting principles
  • Prior exposure to management accounts, reconciliations, or financial analysis would be considered an added advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with financial data
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within an FP&A and commercial finance environment
  • Ability to work UK business hours (1.00pm to 9.30pm or 2.00pm to 10.30pm)
