Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven DevOps Lead to join our client's technology team. This role focuses on leading DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, deployment strategy, and platform reliability, with a strong emphasis on WSO2 environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud platforms, CI/CD implementation, container orchestration, and enterprise middleware operations, while providing strong technical leadership

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of DevOps processes, tools, and automation frameworks across all environments
  • Manage deployment, configuration, clustering, patching, and administration of WSO2 API Manager, WSO2 Micro Integrator, and WSO2 Identity Server
  • Architect and support cloud-based deployments across AWS, Azure, on-premises Kubernetes, and OpenShift environments
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and middleware deployments using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab
  • Implement infrastructure as code, configuration management, and automated provisioning processes
  • Monitor platform health, availability, performance, and security across environments
  • Lead release planning, deployment scheduling, rollback readiness, and production change management
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, middleware, networking, and deployment issues
  • Ensure disaster recovery readiness, backup strategies, high availability, and business continuity
  • Collaborate with development, QA, architecture, and security teams to streamline delivery pipelines
  • Establish DevOps best practices, governance standards, documentation, and operational excellence
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership to the DevOps team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Operations roles
  • Strong hands-on experience managing WSO2 API Manager, WSO2 Micro Integrator, and WSO2 Identity Server
  • Extensive expertise in deployment, configuration, clustering, tuning, and administration of WSO2 environments
  • Strong experience in public, private, and hybrid cloud platforms
  • Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and container orchestration
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and release automation
  • Experience with Linux administration, scripting, and automation
  • Good understanding of networking concepts including SSL, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
