Job Overview

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Draughtsman responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and plans based on engineering designs, specifications, and project requirements. The role supports engineering and project teams by producing precise CAD drawings used for project planning, construction, and implementation while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Drafting

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software based on engineering designs and project requirements.
• Develop shop drawings, layout drawings, schematic drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Interpret sketches, specifications, and engineering data to produce accurate technical drawings.

Design Coordination

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure drawings align with design specifications.
• Revise drawings based on design updates, project changes, and technical feedback.
• Ensure drawings are consistent with project scope and project requirements.

Documentation Management

• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Ensure all drawings follow company CAD standards and document control procedures.
• Maintain drawing registers and version control.

Site & Project Support

• Conduct site visits when required to gather measurements and project information.
• Update as-built drawings based on site modifications and project completion.
• Provide drafting support during project execution and coordination meetings.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure drawings comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and quality before submission.
• Follow company drafting procedures and best practices.

Qualifications

• Professional certification or training in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Revit or other CAD/BIM software will be an added advantage.
• Minimum one year of experience in drafting or technical design within an engineering, construction, or related industry.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
