We are looking to hire a "Junior Buyer" for one of our clients.
Qualifications:
- A strong passion for fashion footwear and keen insight into the industry
- Robust analytical skills to interpret sales data and market research effectively
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable deals with suppliers
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors
- Creative mindset to identify unique and trending footwear products
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and convey buying decisions
- High level of organization to manage multiple product lines and supplier interactions efficiently
- Flexibility and adaptability to navigate the dynamic fashion footwear market
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, retail management, fashion or related fields is preferred Proficiency in computer software and tools for data analysis and inventory management
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify current and emerging fashion footwear trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings
- Analyse sales data and track inventory level to make data-driven decisions on footwear purchase
- Build and maintain positive relationships with footwear suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries and resolving any issues that arise
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms for footwear purchase
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to ensure that our footwear selection aligns with overall business goals
- Stay up-to-date with industry news, events, and product releases to identify new footwear opportunities
- Work within budgetary constraints to ensure a profitable and stylish footwear selection
- Identify unique and innovative footwear products to differentiate our store from competitors
