About the job Assistant Manager - MICE
We are looking to hire an "Assistant Manager - MICE" for one of our clients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the MICE sector within the travel industry.
- Proven track record of managing and executing successful MICE projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional Asian languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute MICE strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the MICE sector, targeting local and regional clients.
- Design and deliver customized MICE packages tailored to client needs and budgets.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and other key stakeholders to ensure competitive pricing and quality service delivery.
- Conduct market research to stay updated with industry trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of MICE events, including logistics, accommodation, transportation, and on-site management.
- Prepare detailed proposals, contracts, and event budgets, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the planning and execution of events.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on MICE activities and performance.
- Led and mentored junior team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
- Stay informed about local socio-political events that may impact MICE activities and develop contingency plans accordingly
