About the job Business Development Manager
We are looking to hire a Business Development Manager for a well-reputed IT company in Colombo.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is typically required. Previous experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in the technology or IT services industry, is essential.
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a strong understanding of the sales process and customer acquisition strategies.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a sales team, driving performance, and fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft services and solutions, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform. Familiarity with other cloud services, Cyber security services & solutions, and Software products like Adobe, and TeamViewer is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify new market opportunities, develop effective sales strategies, and overcome challenges.
- Proficiency in sales forecasting, pipeline management, and data analysis to make informed business decisions and optimize sales performance.
- A goal-driven and results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and surpassing sales targets while maintaining high ethical standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
- Strong business acumen, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions, representing the company's values and brand effectively.
Job Description:
- Create and execute sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth for the company's Microsoft services and solutions.
- Lead and manage the sales team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales targets.
- Identify and acquire new clients by networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging existing relationships. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions.
- Analyze market trends, monitor competitor activities, and generate accurate sales forecasts. Provide regular sales reports and updates to senior management.
- Work closely with marketing, product, and customer service teams to align sales strategies, support marketing initiatives, and ensure excellent customer experience.
- Negotiate and close sales agreements with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Continuously review and improve the sales processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with senior management to set ambitious yet achievable sales targets, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of market changes.
