Job Overview

Our client, a leading healthcare provider managing multiple medical centers across Sri Lanka, is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, drive business growth, and ensure the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, with experience in the healthcare sector. A marketing background is an added advantage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Masters would be an added advantage).
  • 7+ years of experience in operations management, with at least 3 years in the healthcare or medical industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to handle multi-location operations.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in financial management and budget control.
  • Experience with marketing or business development is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

  • Proven experience managing operations in a healthcare setting, overseeing multiple locations.
  • Experience in staff management, patient relations, and driving operational excellence.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and best practices in the medical industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operational functions of multiple medical centers across Sri Lanka, ensuring smooth daily operations and consistent service quality.
  • Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and service delivery.
  • Ensure all medical centers comply with healthcare regulations, licensing, and accreditation standards.
  • Coordinate with medical staff, administrative teams, and support functions to ensure the highest levels of patient care.
  • Lead and mentor the operations team across all centers, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence.
  • Oversee staffing requirements, including recruitment, training, and development of staff.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement strategies to enhance staff engagement and productivity.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets for each center, ensuring financial efficiency.
  • Monitor expenses, reduce operational costs where possible, and ensure financial performance aligns with business goals.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to prepare financial reports, analyze data, and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure a patient-centric approach across all centers, focusing on improving patient satisfaction and care outcomes.
  • Address patient complaints and issues, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including doctors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the organization by identifying opportunities for expansion or service enhancement.
  • Lead initiatives to increase patient footfall and drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and implement promotional campaigns to enhance brand visibility and attract new patients.
  • Leverage marketing insights to support business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to design and execute local outreach campaigns to promote medical services.
  • Monitor competition and market trends to identify areas for business improvement and innovation.
