About the job System Administrator (Microsoft Infrastructure & Cloud)

We are looking to hire a "System Administrator (Microsoft Infrastructure & Cloud)" for one of our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure components including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services including VMs, storage, and networking.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration including user accounts, licenses, and permissions.
  • Proficiency in managing MS Exchange Server environments.
  • Ability to plan and execute cloud migrations; manage Intune for endpoint security.
  • Experience automating tasks with Copilot; and enhancing security with Defender.

Required Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (Exam AZ-104)
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals (Exam 98-365)
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (Exam MD-100 and MD-101)
  • Microsoft Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate (for MS Exchange) (Exam MS-203)
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (Exam SC-900)
  • Microsoft Certified: Security Administrator Associate (Exam MS-500)
  • Microsoft Certified: Intune Administrator Associate (Exam MS-101)

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations for efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure cloud services and resources.
  • Configure and monitor virtual machines, storage, networking, and other Azure components.
  • Implement security measures and compliance standards for Azure environments.
  • Implement and manage security measures to safeguard systems and data.
  • Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and data protection strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices for system security.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other IT teams.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, diagnose problems and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for reference.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in Microsoft technologies.
