They provide a comprehensive ecosystem for electric mobility, including energy provisioning, EV fleet management, and last-mile delivery solutions to help businesses transition to eco-friendly operations.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our clients operational processes. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, improving efficiency, and leading a dedicated team to ensure smooth delivery services for the clients EV-based operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in logistics, operational strategy, and team leadership, with experience in vehicle registration and importation.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years in operations, logistics, or fleet management, including 2+ years in a managerial role.
- Experience in the EV or transportation industry is highly preferred; familiarity with sustainable mobility solutions is a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, organizational and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in local languages is advantageous.
- Familiarity with logistics management software and operational tools to track and improve productivity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vehicle Registration and Importation
- Handle the end-to-end registration process for EVs, ensuring compliance with Sri Lankas RMV regulations.
- Manage the importation of EVs, coordinating with customs and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth entry and approval.
- Oversee prototype approvals and testing, working with engineering and
compliance teams to align with standards.
2. Operational Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and streamline workflows, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives.
- Assess and improve operational procedures for greater efficiency, including delivery route optimization and resource allocation.
3. Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team comprising operations staff, drivers, and maintenance personnel.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork, employee development, and high performance.
4. Customer Service and Satisfaction
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and efficient delivery services.
- Work closely with the customer service team to address operational
challenges, enhancing service quality.
5. Compliance and Safety
- Ensure that all operations meet local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines related to EV operations and transportation.
6. Vendor and Partner Coordination
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and partners to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and secure necessary resources and services.
