About the Company: 

Our Client is a well-known Sri Lankan company specializing in producing & marketing high-quality porcelain tableware to Europe, USA, ME and APAC. They employ skilled artisans who create a diverse range of porcelain products, such as dinner sets, tea sets, mugs, vases, and decorative items. The position on offer will generate new business leads and introduce new clients and opportunities to expand the business.

The Person:

A young candidate below 35 years, who is currently active in international business development with strong research and analysis skills to lead the business development function. Passion for developing leads and converting them to revenue streams through negotiation and collaboration is key.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Designing and implementing business development strategies to exploit growth opportunities in the porcelain industry.
  • Developing new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures and new market segments.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders to enhance market presence and drive sales.
  • Overseeing the development and execution of sales of prospective customers at the inception.
  • Working closely with the product development team to align new products with market demands and integrating innovative technologies and designs.
  • Engaging in market surveys, analysis, reporting and documentation.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications in marketing is preferred.
  • Over 3 years of proven experience in international business development and/or international sales & marketing preferably in lifestyle brands.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
