Job Overview
The Storekeeper will manage construction materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring accurate stock records, proper storage, and efficient receiving and issuing procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and issue construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory documentation.
- Monitor stock levels and identify shortages or discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of materials and equipment.
- Maintain records of material receipts, issues, transfers, and returns.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with records.
- Coordinate with site teams and procurement regarding material requirements.
- Ensure materials are handled and stored safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized store area.
- Prepare stock reports and related documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma/Certificate in Stores Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Storekeeper, preferably in the construction industry.
- Experience handling construction materials, tools, equipment, receiving/issuing procedures, and stock records.
- Knowledge of inventory control and computerized stock management will be an advantage.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
