Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to join our client's quality engineering team. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of WSO2-based solutions through robust testing strategies and effective defect management. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in testing APIs, integrations, and enterprise middleware platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead testing activities for solutions built on WSO2 API Manager, WSO2 Micro Integrator, and WSO2 Identity Server
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing of APIs and integration services
• Validate REST/SOAP APIs, authentication flows, identity integrations, and middleware services
• Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects through to closure using defect management tools
• Analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, and support root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring defects
• Perform data validation, message flow verification, and backend integration testing
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, DevOps teams, and architects to ensure quality delivery
• Participate in release readiness activities including smoke, sanity, and production validation testing
• Recommend testing improvements, quality standards, and best practices
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote knowledge sharing within the team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, QA engineering, or middleware testing roles
• Strong hands-on experience testing WSO2 API Manager, WSO2 Micro Integrator, and WSO2 Identity Server
• Expertise in functional, integration, system, and regression testing
• Proven experience testing REST/SOAP APIs, integration services, and middleware platforms
• Good understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, SSO, and IAM concepts
• Experience in defect management, test case design, and test execution lifecycle
• Familiarity with SQL, log analysis, and troubleshooting complex issues
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
