English Teacher – Language & Literature

About the Role:

Deliver high-quality instruction in English Language and/or Literature, preparing students for Cambridge or Edexcel examinations with strong analytical, writing, and exam skills.

Responsibilities: 

• Plan and deliver structured lessons aligned with Cambridge / Edexcel syllabi
• Teach language skills (reading, writing, comprehension, analysis) and/or literary texts
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and exam-focused activities
• Conduct regular assessments, mock exams, and provide written feedback
• Track student progress and report academic performance to parents/coordinator
• Support exam preparation: past paper practice, marking schemes, examiner reports
• Maintain classroom discipline and professional conduct
• Attend academic meetings, training sessions, and parent consultations when required

Requirements:

• Degree in English / Education or related field
• Proven experience teaching IGCSE / AS / A Level English
• Strong written and spoken English
• Familiarity with Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel assessment styles
