Job Overview

The Category Head will be responsible for driving category growth, profitability, and brand performance. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead innovation, manage end-to-end category performance, and translate consumer insights into impactful business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee category P&L to ensure sustainable financial performance and profitability.
  • Develop and execute category and brand strategies to drive market share growth.
  • Lead innovation initiatives and ensure timely execution of projects within the pipeline.
  • Strengthen brand equity through purpose-driven marketing initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Analyze consumer behavior and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Management, or a related field; professional qualifications (CIM/SLIM) are an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at a Senior Brand Manager level, preferably in an FMCG environment.
  • Strong understanding of brand management, media planning, and market dynamics.
  • Experience in digital marketing, market research, and stakeholder management.
  • Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT), data analysis, and presentation tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and deliver measurable results.
