Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Ward Nurse – Eye Care to provide nursing care, support surgical procedures, monitor patients, and ensure high standards of safety and clinical care within the Eye Theatre and Ward.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care within the Eye Theatre and Ward.
• Assist surgeons and medical staff during eye surgical procedures.
• Prepare patients for surgery and provide appropriate post-operative care.
• Monitor patients' conditions and promptly report any concerns to the medical team.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and nursing documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by medical professionals.
• Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, infection-control, and clinical standards.
• Support the smooth workflow within the theatre and ward environment.
• Provide patients and their families with appropriate care, guidance, and support.
• Follow hospital policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse.
• Diploma in Nursing / NVQ Level 4 / PHSRC Registration.
• Previous experience in Eye Care will be a distinct advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong patient-care and clinical support skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong attention to detail and sense of responsibility.
• Ability to work collaboratively with doctors, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
