About the client:
A reputed travel company in Sri Lanka, offering leisure travel, corporate travel management, airline ticketing, and tour operations, renowned for service excellence & innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide complete and accurate financial/management information in a timely manner.
- Conduct monthly financial meetings to review performance.
- Circulating monthly board pack and other management reports with the management.
- Completing accurate Annual Operating Plan (Budget Packs) for the group within stipulated deadline.
- Preparation of accurate monthly PNL and Cashflow forecast.
- Liaison with the auditors, other institutions, and statutory bodies.
- Ensure timely filing all Tax Returns and adherence to changes in tax regulations and tax amendments.
- Introduce & implement internal operating procedures as per the Financial SOPs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e.g., B.Com, BBA in Finance).
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or CMA (fully or partly qualified).
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in the travel, tourism, hospitality, or airline industry is a strong advantage.
- Sound knowledge of Sri Lankan tax laws, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software / ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management abilities.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
