About the client:

A reputed travel company in Sri Lanka, offering leisure travel, corporate travel management, airline ticketing, and tour operations, renowned for service excellence & innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide complete and accurate financial/management information in a timely manner.
  • Conduct monthly financial meetings to review performance.
  • Circulating monthly board pack and other management reports with the management.
  • Completing accurate Annual Operating Plan (Budget Packs) for the group within stipulated deadline.
  • Preparation of accurate monthly PNL and Cashflow forecast.
  • Liaison with the auditors, other institutions, and statutory bodies.
  • Ensure timely filing all Tax Returns and adherence to changes in tax regulations and tax amendments.
  • Introduce & implement internal operating procedures as per the Financial SOPs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e.g., B.Com, BBA in Finance).
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or CMA (fully or partly qualified).
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in the travel, tourism, hospitality, or airline industry is a strong advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of Sri Lankan tax laws, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software / ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management abilities.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
