About Our Client

Our client is a well-established organization in the construction industry seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to support project cost and commercial activities.

Job Overview

The Quantity Surveyor will handle quantity measurements, BOQ verification, contractor payments, cost monitoring, and project cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify BOQs against project drawings and specifications.
• Conduct quantity take-offs, measurements, and cost assessments.
• Validate subcontractor, supplier, and contractor payments.
• Monitor project costs and support budget control.
• Verify contractor claims, variations, and interim payment applications.
• Monitor material and supply control to minimize wastage and shortages.
• Evaluate quotations and supplier proposals.
• Conduct site visits to verify work progress and quantities.
• Maintain records of project costs, contracts, payments, and measurements.
• Prepare cost, valuation, and procurement reports.
• Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, Finance, and other teams.
• Support the Finance Director with project cost analysis and financial reporting.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution.
• 1–3 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity measurement, and cost management.
• Contractor billing and payment verification experience will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of construction materials and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
