Job Overview

The M365 Modern Workplace Engineer (Tech Lead) will lead the design, deployment, management, and support of Microsoft 365 environments across multiple client platforms. The role focuses on modern workplace architecture, identity, endpoint management, security, compliance, automation, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Lead identity and access management using Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, and privileged access controls.
  • Manage endpoint environments using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
  • Implement Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls using Defender, Secure Score, retention policies, and sensitivity labels.
  • Lead Microsoft 365 migrations, deployments, and workplace transformation projects.
  • Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and Power Platform.
  • Act as the technical escalation point for complex Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint, security, and compliance issues.
  • Translate business requirements into secure and scalable workplace solutions.
  • Manage multiple client environments and ensure consistent technical standards and documentation.
  • Mentor support teams and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor platform performance, security, reliability, licensing, and adoption.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and modern workplace technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, and identity governance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Defender, Secure Score, data protection, retention policies, and sensitivity labels.
  • Strong PowerShell skills with experience in Microsoft Graph and Power Platform automation.
  • Experience leading Microsoft 365 projects, migrations, and workplace transformations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical escalation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills.
  • Ability to mentor technical teams and manage multiple priorities across client environments.
