About the Client:
An Australia-based, multi-sourcing financial services provider specializing in paraplanning and administration services for clients across the financial sector. The company supports Australian entities and SMSFs with expert auditing, accounting, and compliance solutions ensuring accuracy, transparency, and trust in every engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct SMSF audits by reviewing financial statements, transactions, and investment portfolios to ensure compliance with Australian superannuation regulations.
- Prepare comprehensive audit documentation, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Audit complex areas such as asset transfers, pension accounts, property investments, and foreign holdings.
- Review property-related documentation and validate expense allocations in line with industry standards.
- Collaborate with property owners and landlords to address discrepancies and finalize adjustments.
- Perform audits for body corporates and private entities, ensuring compliance with reporting and budget requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Australian SMSF auditing, with direct exposure to accountants and auditors.
- Degree in Accounting or a recognized professional accounting qualification.
- Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple clients or projects, and meet deadlines.
- Process-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
