Job Descriptions:

Accounting operations, Financial Reporting, and Analysis

  • Oversee the preparation of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury functions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of management reports for submission to HQ.
  • Preparing and presenting monthly financial performance report.
  • Coordinate and manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Analysing financial data and providing insights to management and support decision-making
  • Oversee the preparation and timely filing of audited accounts, tax returns, SST, transfer pricing and other regulatory filings.
  • Liaise with Internal and External auditors, Tax agent, Solicitors, Bankers, Company Secretary, Customs, Inland Revenue, Government agencies, etc
  • Cash Flow & Treasury Management
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure company liquidity meeting the operational and financial obligation and capex expenditure
  • Manage relationships with banks and ensuring access to necessary financing and capital resources.
  • Cash Flow and Forecast reporting

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Oversee and developing financial budget and forecasts
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, work closely with department heads and to align with group and organizational goals.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, providing variance analysis and recommending corrective actions.
  • Track and monitor cost spending, escalate impending overruns and recommend rectifications as appropriate

Strategic and Leadership Functions

  • Contributing to the company's and group's financial strategy and direction
  • Provide insights and advice to senior management on financial matters.
  • Involve in customers and vendors business contract/agreements
  • Support and lead Group and Company initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Compliance and Controls

  • Oversees compliance and adherence to group corporate governance
  • Ensuring financial operations comply with local accounting standards, regulations, and legislation.
  • Ensure continuous compliance to tax regulation
  • Develop and enforce financial policies, SOPs and internal controls to safeguard assets and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with external regulators to ensure all regulatory compliance.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, train, and mentor finance department staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • -Lead and provide guidance to team members pertaining to finance and accounting activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a management capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in MNC reporting, ERP system, Services and Logistic industry will be added advantages
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter capable of working individually and ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
