Job description:

  • Oversee SMT assembly process and equipment to ensure efficient production operations and optimization of the PCBA process.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize SMT assembly processes to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Analyze production data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain process documentation including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage maintenance, calibration, and repair of SMT equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Evaluate and recommend new equipment purchases or upgrades to enhance production capabilities.
  • Collaborate with vendors for equipment servicing, repairs, and parts procurement.
  • Supervise and mentor process engineers and technicians, fostering continuous improvement and skill development.
  • Conduct training on processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Implement quality control processes to minimize defects and improve yield rates.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, supply chain) to ensure alignment on production goals and timelines.
  • Provide technical support to resolve assembly process and equipment issues.
  • Analyze production metrics and KPIs to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Perform any tasks as instructed by superior.
  • Issue warning letters, approve leave forms, and evaluate employee performance.
  • Report to Director.

Requirement:

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
    • Strong knowledge of SMT processes, equipment, and technologies (e.g., pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens).
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities and team management experience.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SMT assembly processes and equipment management.
    • Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
