Job description:
- Oversee SMT assembly process and equipment to ensure efficient production operations and optimization of the PCBA process.
- Develop, implement, and optimize SMT assembly processes to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Analyze production data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain process documentation including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Manage maintenance, calibration, and repair of SMT equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
- Evaluate and recommend new equipment purchases or upgrades to enhance production capabilities.
- Collaborate with vendors for equipment servicing, repairs, and parts procurement.
- Supervise and mentor process engineers and technicians, fostering continuous improvement and skill development.
- Conduct training on processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Implement quality control processes to minimize defects and improve yield rates.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, supply chain) to ensure alignment on production goals and timelines.
- Provide technical support to resolve assembly process and equipment issues.
- Analyze production metrics and KPIs to drive data-informed decisions.
- Perform any tasks as instructed by superior.
- Issue warning letters, approve leave forms, and evaluate employee performance.
- Report to Director.
Requirement:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
- Strong knowledge of SMT processes, equipment, and technologies (e.g., pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and team management experience.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SMT assembly processes and equipment management.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
