Job Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical expert for the MES (Manufacturing Execution System), bridging communication between the site and corporate IT teams.
- Provide technical expertise, maintenance, and guidance to ensure the efficient operation of the MES system on the shop floor.
- Investigate and analyze MES-related issues on production lines, diagnosing root causes and developing effective solutions.
- Develop and implement MES enhancements to optimize manufacturing processes and system performance.
- Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support stakeholders' analytics and decision-making needs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data collection, integration, and collaboration (OPC, ODBC, Web services, relational databases, etc.).
- Collaborate with automation, IT, and production teams to ensure seamless MES integration with shop floor equipment and enterprise systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with IT systems, preferably in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Strong knowledge of database management and querying using Oracle SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience in reporting and data visualization tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, and SQL.
- Familiarity with industry standards for data collection, system integration, and communication protocols (e.g., OPC, ODBC, Web services).
- Experience with process automation solutions is an advantage.
- Knowledge of PLC application programming is a plus
