Job Overview

Responsibilities include supporting new product introductions (NPI), problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement through LEAN methodologies.
Job Description
- Collaborate with NPI teams to start manufacturing activities.
- Design efficient shop floor layouts for space optimization.
- Define and manage tools and equipment for new product launches.
- Analyze workforce utilization and estimate production times.
- Liaise with vendors for equipment setup and fixture fabrication.
- Estimate manufacturing costs and coordinate with customers on product specifications or design changes.
- Lead cross-functional problem-solving groups for corrective actions.
- Manage tooling spares, equipment programs, and address quality non-conformance issues.
- Train and provide leadership to other manufacturing engineers.
- Maintain records of operations and report key manufacturing metrics.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
- 5 years of experience in EMS manufacturing environments.
- Experience with production tools, fixtures, and testing equipment.
- Knowledge of 5S practices.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Problem-solving and continuous improvement expertise (e.g., LEAN, Process FMEA, 8D).
- Vendor management experience is an advantage.
- Proactive, self-motivated, with excellent analytical and reasoning skills.
