Job Overview

Responsibilities include supporting new product introductions (NPI), problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement through LEAN methodologies.

Job Description

  • Collaborate with NPI teams to start manufacturing activities.
  • Design efficient shop floor layouts for space optimization.
  • Define and manage tools and equipment for new product launches.
  • Analyze workforce utilization and estimate production times.
  • Liaise with vendors for equipment setup and fixture fabrication.
  • Estimate manufacturing costs and coordinate with customers on product specifications or design changes.
  • Lead cross-functional problem-solving groups for corrective actions.
  • Manage tooling spares, equipment programs, and address quality non-conformance issues.
  • Train and provide leadership to other manufacturing engineers.
  • Maintain records of operations and report key manufacturing metrics.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5 years of experience in EMS manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with production tools, fixtures, and testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of 5S practices.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement expertise (e.g., LEAN, Process FMEA, 8D).
  • Vendor management experience is an advantage.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, with excellent analytical and reasoning skills.
