Health Care Aide (Alberta/BC)

Responsibilities

• Engage in activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversation with residents
• Offer medication reminders and support with appointments
• Help clients with grooming and bathing
• Assist with toileting and managing incontinence care
• Support individuals living with Alzheimer's disease
   

Requirement

• Health Care Aide Certificate
• Registration with BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry OR College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta
• Food Safe
• Successfully complete a criminal record background check
• Demonstrate the ability to treat clients and their property with respect, dignity, and compassion
• Communicate in a friendly, patient, and professional manner
• Provide two professional and two personal references
• A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are recommended (not mandatory)
