Requirements:

Qualifications: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Textile Engineering, or related disciplines.

Experience: Minimum 5–6 years of relevant experience in research and development, preferably within the textile and polymer industry.

Responsibilities:

  • The core responsibilities will be to search for a new materials, new processes and search for new and innovative ideas.
  • The role involves laboratory experimentation, process improvement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant products.
  • Conduct extensive research on new and innovative yarns, fibers, polymers, and materials that are not traditionally used in the glove manufacturing industry.
  • Evaluate novel raw materials, chemicals, coatings, and performance-enhancing additives to improve product attributes such as durability, flexibility, comfort, grip, and protection.
  • Plan and execute trials on new yarns, fibers, polymers, chemicals, machines, and manufacturing technologies to validate their performance and scalability.
  • Explore and contribute to innovative knitting, plying, and material integration technologies.
  • Drive innovation initiatives such as biodegradable, sustainable, and antimicrobial glove solutions
  • Support R&D teams in the development of new products and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Conduct research on existing materials, chemicals, and manufacturing processes to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Recommend efficient material substitutions, process improvements, and productivity enhancements without compromising quality or safety.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging materials, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements.
  • Monitor competitor products, materials, and innovations to benchmark performance and identify gaps.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and work towards developing similar or superior products within the company's portfolio
  • Maintain structured documentation and databases of historical product data, trials, materials, and process performance.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify improvement areas and define future R&D initiatives.
  • Ensure proper documentation for knowledge management and scalability of innovations.
