The Insurance Verification and Authorization (IV/Auth) Trainer will serve in an instrumental role building and deploying Hurons Revenue Cycle training offering. Within this role, the individual will be responsible for Revenue Cycle staff and leadership training, onboarding, competency assessments, and ongoing development. The individual will provide training across the Financial Clearance scope. Prior Revenue Cycle expertise combined with knowledge of adult learning principles will be critical success factors for the role.



KEY RESPONSIBILITES:


IV/Auth Training:

  • Conduct training and classroom-based coaching both onsite and in virtual environments

  • Develop and deliver training related to revenue cycle systems, applications, processes, procedures

  • Continually identify training needs and define appropriate training solutions

  • Implement, facilitate, and maintain new hire onboarding and existing resource refresher training. Includes scheduling, tracking, and program enhancements.

  • Prepare training materials, documentation, guides, manuals, and e-learning modules

  • Implement consistent training methods and learning solutions to drive organizational effectiveness, increase efficiency, and strengthen colleague knowledge, abilities, and performance

  • Contribute to improved job performance and continuous improvement across the assigned scope

  • Partners with leadership and quality counterparts to identify training needs

  • Serve as a resource providing insight and guidance related to training and development methodologies and best practices

  • Keep current of training and development methodologies, practices, and tools

  • Gathers data to prepare statistical reports in order to evaluate performance and training outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

  • Training Experience: Three years of IV/Auth experience. At least one year of training experience ideally in Revenue Cycle functional area

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • RCM Knowledge: Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations. Knowledge of adult learning techniques

  • Software Knowledge: Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech.

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and customer service skills (CEFR level of at least B2 for both verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least two years teaching or training experience.

  • Education: Bachelor in business, health field, or education

  • Software Knowledge: Proficiency with Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) . Proficiency with Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)

  • RCM Knowledge: Prior experience with US healthcare providers or payers.
