Your role
As a Collections - Supervisor, you will:

  • Daily Operational Supervision: Oversee daily portfolio coverage, monitor collector activity, assign account queues, and prioritize collection workflows based on risk and aging metrics.
    • Team Coaching & Performance Management: Provide continuous feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations to Collections Analysts; lead onboarding, training, and team meetings.
    • Escalation & Complex Dispute Resolution: Serve as the escalation point for high-value, delinquent, or high-risk accounts; assist collectors in untangling complex disputes, deductions, and payment barriers.
    • Cross-Functional Partnering: Collaborate with Cash Applications and Billing teams to clear unapplied cash, correct short-pays, and resolve root causes of recurring billing errors.
    • Policy Compliance & Quality Control: Enforce adherence to established corporate collection policies, documentation standards, and SOX internal controls.
    • Reporting & Process Improvement: Review aging trends, track collector productivity metrics, and recommend workflow improvements to accelerate cash conversion and enhance customer experience.

    What You Need:
    Non-negotiables:

    • Experience: 3–5+ years of progressive experience in commercial B2B collections or accounts receivable, with at least 1–2 years in a lead, supervisory, or senior capacity.
    • Portfolio & Aging Mastery: Deep expertise in Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes, commercial credit terms, collections strategies, and DSO/aging reduction techniques.
    • Leadership & Coaching Capability: Demonstrated skill in managing, training, and developing front-line analysts in a deadline-driven operational setting.
    • Advanced Systems & Excel Skills: Hands-on proficiency using enterprise ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, MS Dynamics) and intermediate/advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
    • Communication & De-escalation: Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills to navigate high-stakes customer calls and internal cross-functional alignment.


    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
    • Specialized OTC Software: Direct experience utilizing credit and collections automation platforms (e.g., HighRadius, GetPaid, Serrala, or Quadient).
    • Process Improvement: Exposure to Lean Six Sigma methodologies or continuous process improvement initiatives.
    • Industry Background: Prior experience in high-volume transaction environments such as healthcare, technology/SaaS, distribution, or manufacturing.
