Supervisor, Fund Accounting

Job Responsibilities

Describe the job role and the day to day tasks involved. Role will be responsible for all or some of the following:

• Responsible for the preparation and review of medium to complex net asset valuations for a portfolio of hedge funds in accordance with applicable policies and procedures;

• Involvement in all client related administrative functions and liaison with internal and external parties including investment managers, prime brokers, custodians and other transaction counterparties for transaction processing and NAV preparation in various international jurisdictions, if required; • Liaison with auditors to provide requested information and respond to queries, if required; • Develop a comprehensive understanding of constitutional documentation and the operational structure of clients

• Deliver high levels of client service, ensuring that each relationship is compliant with internal policies and procedures; • Acting in accordance with legal, regulatory and internal risk management requirements, including complying with all policies and procedures and internal guidance notes;

• Acquire and develop a mastery of the systems used for client and internal reporting; • Assisting managers in compiling ad hoc reports and operational metrics as required by management;

• Coordinate with various teams within the organization to ensure client queries and deliverables are completed in a timely manner.

• Provide training and guidance to the junior staff; • Reporting business issues to the relevant management ;

• Ensure the proprietary database is completed with accurate data by the take-on point of the client

Reviewing data entry for new client and fund setups and management reports;

Responding to internal stakeholder queries promptly, accurately and with a high degree of professionalism;

Developing effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, and other relevant parties, and responding promptly and professionally to requests;

Displaying a strong team focus and willingness to assist other team members when required;

Assisting team members with general administrative tasks and liaising with other departments as required.

• Ad-hoc projects, including reporting, as required

Qualifications

Describe the qualifications the staff must have in terms of skills and capabilities

• Degree Holder in Accounting or Finance

• Professional accounting designation is a plus

Competencies/Personality Traits

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English.

• Good Excel skills such as Vlookup, Pivot Table, experience in Power Query is a plus.

• A team player with good time management skills, positive thinking and willing to learn attitude

• Ability to handle work/client deliverables with tight deadlines.

Prior Experience

Describe the prior working experience a candidate should have.

• Experience level (with normal MFS job titles)

o Level 1 (Senior Fund Accountant): 2 -3 years Hedge Fund or Private Equity experience and total 3-5 years in Financial services industry or 5-7 years Financial Services Experience o Level 2 (Supervisor): 4-5 years’ Hedge Fund or Private Equity related experience or 2 - 3 years Hedge Fund or Private Equity Experience plus additional 3 -5 years Financial Services experience

o Level 3 (Supervisor/AVP): 5-7 years’ Hedge Fund or Private Equity related experience or 7-10 years Financial Services experience;

• Knowledge of Advent Geneva system is preferred.
