To be paid, you must provide a medical certificate. § Perform any reasonable task as requested by management and work in line with business needs. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: General Coordinate all HR processes effectively to ensure optimal customer service delivery § Assist in all HR enquiries and respond to emails within a timely manner § Completion of the monthly HR report § Coordinate the management of HR accounts and invoices § Sorting of HR mail and correspondence § Relate relevant company information to all Team Member via appropriate communication channels. § HR projects and other duties as required § Ensure that all information is kept confidential, unless otherwise advised § Ensure that all Work Health and Safety requirements for the company are met within your department. § Report any workplace hazards and support the company in its endeavour to provide a safe workplace § Represent the Ovolo in a positive manner expounding the values, ethics and pride at all times § Respond to all enquiries from Team Members and the public with regards to positions vacant § Coordinate all Seek and other advertisements § Coordination and distribution of new Team Member information kits for all new Team Members Workers Compensation § Ensure any Team Member incidents are being reported appropriately and recorded as per procedure § Ensure any Workers Compensation Claims are sent through to the relevant Claims Management Agent for processing. § Liaise with Rehabilitation Co-ordinators on Return-to-Work plans. Payroll § Collate all contract request documents and create contracts § Ensure payroll information is correct and forwarded to payroll in time for payroll § Ensure that all Team Member forms are processed confidentially and in an accurate and timely manner § Keep Team Member files current and concise Recognition and Rewards § Complete certificates and co-ordinate prizes for SHTM quarterly § Management of Preferential Stay database § Liaise with properties & marketing to provide regular ONN content Corporate Social Responsibility/CSR § Coordinate the CSR calendar functions in collaboration with property GMs COMMUNICATION § Ensure department policies and procedures are understood and observed in tasks performed. § Ensure understanding of new and updated information regarding policies, rates, and general hotel information. § Participate in training programs inclusive of induction and skills training. § Actively participate in organised meetings and is a contributor to the wider Hotel Management team. § Fosters high morale, minimal conflict within the hotel team. § Fosters a collaborative environment that promotes two-way communications. § Lead by example. § Participate in meetings within the team that facilitates operational improvements. § Communicate with all Hotel Departments during your shift, ensuring the distribution of accurate and timely reports. § Handle all guest complaints with urgency and resolve complaints within your level of authority or pass the details onto your manager. TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT § To be fully conversant with relevant software systems. § To keep updated on new products, trends, and industry information with respect to department operations, as required. § Carries out any reasonable additional duties that may be requested by your direct Manager or the Executive / Senior Leadership team. § Foster a collaborative environment which promotes two-way communication. § Prepare and participate the 6-month probation following with the annual Appraisal Process, in order to given feedback (on a formal basis). Communication however is to be given to you on a daily basis by your immediate manager. § Reports all incidents, health and safety hazards to your Manager within 24 hours. HEALTH SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT § Following all safe work procedures. If you are unaware of the process and or the task at hand, you must ask your supervisor / manager for instruction. Do not do a task without seeking the appropriate instruction. § The Regulations require team members to follow appropriate systems of work laid down for their safety; make proper use of equipment provided for their safety; co-operate with their employer on health and safety matters; inform the employer if they identify hazardous handling activities; take care to ensure that their activities do not put others at risk. § Follow property procedures with respect to grooming, performance and conduct standards, occupational health and safety, emergency procedures and all other property policies and procedures as detailed in the employee handbook / department procedure manuals / company policy manuals. § Use safe manual handling techniques, practice safe work habits following Ovolo Hotel Health, Safety and Environment policies, wear protective clothing provided where necessary and take a consultative role in assisting and maintaining a clean, tidy work area and a healthy and safe working environment. § Report any health or safety hazards, faults, repairs, cleaning needs and accidents to the Manager on Duty and record on the appropriate Incident form immediately following accident. § Ensure all equipment is kept in good working order and used only for the purpose for which it was intended. Report all broken or damaged departmental equipment to your supervisor / Manager and record on appropriate maintenance report form. § Be fully conversant with departmental fire and evacuation procedures. § Treat customers and team members from all cultural groups with respect and sensitivity. § Treat complaints of harassment and discrimination promptly and confidentially. § Ensure Hotel, customer and team member information or transactions are kept confidential during or after employment with Ovolo. § Utilise internet and email strictly in conjunction with Ovolo Hotels Information Technology (IT) policy. § Checks all assigned areas regarding sanitation and hygiene, to prevent contamination of any kind. § Using, when appropriate, all personal protective equipment supplied (E.g., gloves, safety goggles). § Attending all relevant training. § Not interfering with safety equipment/ procedures e.g., inappropriate use of fire extinguishers, blocking of fire exits. § Reporting all near misses and accidents immediately to their manager. § Notifying the HSR (Health Safety Representative) of any unsafe acts or conditions § Attempting to resolve simple HSE issues as they arise or referring them to the HSR for the Hotel. § Taking reasonable care of others. The Hotel requires you to be aware of all environmental practices, policies and procedures and implement these daily. It is expected that you will have a sound understanding of the Hotel's Environmental Vision and spread awareness amongst fellow team members. Your ideas and initiative are expected in the ongoing development and enhancement of the Hotel's Environmental Program. Supervisors and managers must be aware of their legal obligations under the OHS Act to attend to HSE issues that they control, know of or influence. |

Qualifications |
Education: · Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Human Resource is desirable Experience: · At least having 2 years working experience in similar role Knowledge/Skills: · Sophisticated communication and negotiation skills · Strong analytical, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills · High level of accuracy and attention to detail · Maturity to deal with people at all levels of the organization and demonstrated ability to relate effectively to a diverse range of people. · The ability to be hands on with a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the business Others: · High level of organisation and timely reporting ·Strong customer service ethos · An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing |
