Your Role:
As a Junior Estimator, you will:
Interpret architectural and structural drawings along with other relevant project documents.
Perform digital take-offs using Cubit Estimating software.
Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for concrete, structural works, and interior finishes.
Maintain and update estimating databases using industry-leading software.
Collaborate with the cost planner to compile comprehensive tender cost plans. [user input]
Analyze and negotiate quotations from various subcontractors and suppliers.
Assist in budget optimization and support contract administration functions.
What You Need:
Non-negotiables
Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Civil Engineering.
Proficiency in Cubit or similar estimating software (though training is available for expert Excel users).
Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team to meet project deadlines.
Preferred skills/expertise/experience
Prior experience in a construction-related or estimating role.
Experience in sourcing and analyzing supplier quotations.
