Your Role:

As an Fuel Pricing Analyst, you will:

• Daily Market & Competitor Price Tracking: Monitor fuel price movements, regional terminal gate prices (TGP), crude oil benchmarks, and local competitor station boards on a daily basis to capture real-time market shifts.
• Pricing Optimization & Strategy Execution: Formulate and execute daily site-level fuel pricing changes that balance volume retention, margin targets, and competitive market share.
• Scenario Modeling & Sensitivity Analysis: Use pricing optimization platforms and statistical models to conduct elasticity studies, scenario forecasting, and price-volume sensitivity simulations.
• Performance & Impact Evaluation: Track post-implementation performance metrics (gross margin per liter, volume variance, revenue impact) against budgeted KPIs and historical trends.
• Cross-Functional Stakeholder Alignment: Partner with Marketing, Operations, Logistics/Supply Chain, and Finance to align pricing actions with inventory levels, promotion cycles, and commercial targets.
• Reporting & Executive Intelligence: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly pricing performance dashboards, margin variance reports, and executive briefings on regulatory and industry trends.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables:

• Pricing & Analytics Experience: Proven professional experience in pricing analysis, commercial margin analysis, revenue management, or financial analysis.
• Tertiary Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Advanced Data Modeling & Excel Skills: High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., nested formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, scenario managers) for handling large-scale transactional and time-series datasets.
• Commercial & Price Elasticity Acumen: Strong grasp of supply-demand dynamics, price elasticity, margin-versus-volume trade-offs, and competitive benchmarking.
• Detail Orientation & Fast Execution: Exceptional precision in data entry and analysis, with the speed required to execute daily price releases in a volatile, time-critical market environment.

Preferred skills / expertise:

• Prior pricing, supply, or commercial analysis experience within the downstream retail fuel, oil & gas, convenience retail, or energy commodities sectors.
• Hands-on experience with specialized retail fuel pricing software (e.g., Kalibrate, PriceAdvantage, edgePETROL, or SAP Pricing).
• Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) and data query platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL.
• Understanding of fuel supply chain fundamentals, secondary freight costs, and regional regulatory pricing mandates.
