Job Title: Senior Project (CAD) Designer
Reports To: National Sales Manager – New Projects (AU/NZ/International)
Location: Remote / Offshore (Hybrid)
MAJOR OBJECTIVES:
Support the Customer New Projects and Sales Team with the provision of bespoke 3-D Learning
Environment (LE) modelling service for Schools, Early Childhood Centres and Out of Hours School
Care Services (OHSC).
You will be joining our growing CAD Design team as our third Senior Project (CAD) Designer,
working alongside two existing team members. You will work within our established 3-D resource
library, which is made up of two parts:
1. The product library, consisting of individual furniture models used to create layouts.
2. The layout library, consisting of layout designs from past projects used as inspiration and
reference.
You will follow the procedures and processes already established for all layout requests, working closely
with our customer and field sales teams, and will help refine these further as our team continues to grow.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and manage MTA 3-D Resource image library using MTA’s chosen Computer Aided
Design or Building Information Modelling software, including COOHOM.
Create 3D drawings of existing products in MTA’s chosen Computer Aided Design or
Building Information Modelling software.
Liaise and collaborate with Customers, New Projects Team, Key Accounts Managers and
Sales Representatives to create bespoke 3-D LE layouts.
Work closely with Opportunity Owner and Customer to discuss and develop layout
concepts.
Incorporate Project quote specifications (product) and supporting floor plan into 3-D LE
proposal, using COOHOM and other CAD/BIM software, for generation of the Customer
proposal.
Make recommendations on alternative layouts and products to meet the needs and
specifications of the customer in a timely manner.
Follow Quality Assurance (QA) procedure and checklist to complete drafted drawings to the
required standard for Learning Environments.
Generate models using MTA’s chosen Computer Aided Design or Building Information
Modelling software, working to set KPIS, timeframes and on budget.

Blending technique and aesthetics to render final LE model in MTA’s chosen Computer
Aided Design or Building Information Modelling software to Create 3D drawings of existing
and new products.
Finalising 3D models using elements from the established library and presenting to
customers and internal stakeholders as required.
Utilise Salesforce and other business CRM solutions to capture and track project details and
progress
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Technical Qualifications.
Proven software experience AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, SketchUp, SketchUP Pro,
COOHOM and other leading software/applications.
Proven experience in preparing working 2D & 3D drawings.
At least 3 years’ experience, however new graduates are welcome to apply.
Enscape experience highly regarded.
Excellent design and 3D CAD skills.
Good communication skills.
A keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
Ability to project manage and collaborate with key stakeholders.
Ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully within large teams.
