Job Responsibilities

- General structural engineering design for building structure
projects assisting structural engineering teams from Australia, UK and NZ.
- Design of structural building elements such as foundations, columns, walls, slabs, roofs, awnings to the relevant national standards and codes (i.e Australian Standards, British Standards, EuroCode).
- Design of various structural materials and construction
systems such as steel, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete.
- Design to Design Guidelines and checklists.
- Liaise with managing engineers and work to the agreed time frames.
- Mark-up designs to initiate drafting, then liaise with the drafting team and back-check the formal drawings.
- Save neat engineering calculations and software files in project folders.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years post-graduate experience in the building structures sector.
- Working knowledge of structural design software such as of Etabs, RAM Concept, RAPT, Microstran/SpaceGas, IdeaStatica, and Strand7 (note proficient experience in all of the listed software is preferable but not a pre-requisite).
- General understanding of construction and required structural detailing.
- General understanding of project risks and opportunities.
- Sound working knowled Revu Bluebeam preferable but not critical
- Experience with Australian Standards preferable but not critical.

Prior Experience

- 4 years + of structural engineering design experience
- Previously worked for another engineering design consultancy in an engineering role.
- International design experience preferable but not critical
