Tile Estimator

Key Responsibilities

● Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

● Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM).

● Measure and estimate quantities for floor and wall tiling, waterproofing, screeding,

and related works.

● Prepare material lists for tiles, adhesives, grout, trims, and other tiling products.

● Request and review supplier and subcontractor quotations.

● Submit RFIs when additional project information is required.

● Ensure all project requirements are included in estimates.

● Prepare and compile tender pricing and supporting documentation.

● Identify any discrepancies or missing information in project documents.

● Present estimates to management for review and approval.

● Submit tenders within required deadlines.

● Maintain pricing records and estimating databases.

● Communicate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout

the estimating process.

Role Requirements

● 1-2 years of estimating experience in the Australian or local construction, tiling, flooring, or

fit-out industry

● Experience preparing quantity take-offs and cost estimates for tiling projects.

● Experience preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Bills of Materials (BOM).

● Understanding of tile installation, waterproofing, screeding, and floor preparation works.

● Ability to accurately calculate material, labour, and project costs.

● Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

● Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

● High attention to detail and accuracy.

● Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

● Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.

● Able to work independently and as part of a team.

● Experience working with Australian builders or commercial contractors is an advantage.
