Your Role:

As an Accounts Receivable - Cash Application Specialist, you will:

• Process Daily Cash & AR Postings: Record daily cash activity, apply customer receipts to open AR invoices, and process approved supplier, tax, payroll, and intercompany payments directly to the general ledger.
• Perform AR & Cash Reconciliations: Reconcile the AR subledger and multi-currency bank accounts against bank statements, ERP records, and GL reports to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage Invoicing & Collections Support: Prepare manual AR invoices (e.g., scrap sales, non-standard billing) and partner with Cash Collections to resolve account issues, misapplied cash, and remittance discrepancies.
• Handle Cash Flow Forecasting & Loan Schedules: Prepare Weekly Cash Flow Forecasts (WCFF), maintain intercompany loan schedules, and record intercompany settlements and bank transfers across entities.
• Drive Month-End & Process Efficiency: Support month-end close deadlines, maintain internal controls, and actively identify opportunities to streamline cash processing and reconciliation workflows.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, cash application, or cash accounting within a multi-regional or multi-currency environment.
• Solid experience with major ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) across AR, AP payment processing, intercompany, and GL posting.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) and experience preparing cash flow forecasts and loan schedules.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail, stakeholder management, and commitment to strict month-end close timelines.

Preferred skills/expertise

• Prior experience working within a Shared Services Center (SSC) or BPO setting.
• Fluency in the Spanish language (written and verbal).
• Process improvement mindset focused on strengthening internal controls and streamlining operational efficiency.
• Cross-functional experience collaborating with global Treasury, Credit & Collections, AP, Procurement, Tax, and Payroll teams.
• Self-directed accountability with strong ownership over complex reconciliations and exception resolution.
