Your Role:

As a Finance and Administration Specialist, you will:

  • Perform comprehensive balance sheet and bank reconciliations to ensure all financial records align with actual bank positions.
  • Prepare and post month-end and year-end journals, specifically managing accruals, prepayments, and the fixed asset register.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis for profit and loss statements to explain fluctuations between actuals, budgets, and prior periods.
  • Execute standardized month-end closing procedures to guarantee timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, ensuring the register is accurate and depreciation is correctly applied.
  • Identify reconciliation discrepancies or posting errors proactively and resolve them before final submission.
  • Coordinate with external auditors by providing necessary documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand to align financial outputs with regional business goals.


What You Need:

Non-negotiables

  • Proven experience in full-cycle month-end closing and the preparation of complex journals.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with a focus on balance sheet integrity and P&L variance analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring 100% accuracy of financial data prior to senior review.
  • Excellent communication skills for managing relationships with ANZ stakeholders and external auditors.
  • Demonstrated initiative in troubleshooting financial issues and proposing process improvements.

Preferred skills/expertise

  • Prior experience managing financial operations specifically for the Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) markets.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in fixed asset management and statutory audit support.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance; progression toward a CPA or CA is highly regarded.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict reporting deadlines.
