Your Role:

As an Accounts Receivable (AR) -  Cash Application Specialist, you will:

• Process Daily Cash & Customer Receipts: Apply customer receipts to open AR invoices accurately, process supplier/payroll/tax payments via Payment Process Requests (PPRs), and post all cash transactions to the general ledger.
• Manage AR Processing & Reconciliations: Reconcile the AR subledger to the GL, process non-standard/scrap sales manual AR invoices, and perform bank account cash reconciliations against ERP records and bank statements.
• Support Cash Flow Forecasting & Loan Accounting: Prepare Weekly Cash Flow Forecasts (WCFF), support intercompany settlements, post loan entries, and maintain active loan schedules.
• Resolve Cash Discrepancies & Collaborate: Research unapplied, misapplied, or short-paid cash items, working closely with Cash Collections, Treasury, AP, Procurement, and regional accounting teams.
• Drive Service Delivery & Process Improvement: Support month-end close timelines, meet service level agreements (SLAs), and identify opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen internal controls within the Shared Services organization.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, cash application, cash accounting, or general accounting.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly intermediate Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Hands-on experience with major ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms) covering cash, AR, AP, and GL postings.
• Proven ability to manage multi-entity/multi-currency transactions, analyze bank statements, prepare cash flow forecasts, and hit month-end close deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset and high attention to detail and internal controls.

Preferred skills/expertise

• Fluency in the Spanish language (written and verbal).
• Experience operating within a Shared Services Center (SSC) or BPO setting.
• Proven process improvement mindset with a track record of streamlining workflows and increasing operational efficiency.
• Strong cross-functional experience interfacing with Treasury, Credit & Collections, AP, Payroll, and regional accounting teams.
• Self-directed initiative with strong ownership over complex cash reconciliations, loan schedules, and audit preparation.
