IT Business Analyst – Contract (Raleigh, NC)

Mfinite Consulting is building a pool of IT business analysts for contract assignments with North Carolina state and public-sector agencies in the Raleigh area. Assignments typically run 6–12 months or longer; agencies set the schedule (onsite, hybrid or remote).

Pay & Schedule

• $42 – $51 per hour, based on experience and skill level
• Full-time, about 40 hours per week
• Contract assignment; W-2 hourly employee of Mfinite Consulting LLC
• Direct deposit

What You'll Do

• Interview stakeholders and run working sessions to gather and document business and functional requirements
• Map current-state and future-state business processes, issues and metrics
• Write user stories, use cases and acceptance criteria; maintain a requirements traceability matrix
• Collect and analyze data to support business cases and decisions
• Support testing, go-live, training and change management activities
• Help with project status reporting, work plan updates and other PMO tasks

What You Need

• 1–3+ years as an IT business analyst (Mid-Level 3–5 years, Senior 5–7, Expert 7+)
• Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills
• Skill with process modeling (Visio, Lucidchart or similar) and Excel
• Experience on Agile and/or Waterfall projects (Jira, Azure DevOps or similar)
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; able to pass a background check

Great Fit If You Have

• CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA or Certified Scrum Product Owner
• Experience with state government programs such as Medicaid, health and human services, transportation, revenue or public safety
• SQL or data analysis skills
