Senior Network Engineer

Job Description: ​The Senior Network Engineer will configure and administer various network technologies, develop and design network solutions, and manage WAN connections. ​ Responsibilities include optimizing network performance and ensuring network security. ​

Key Responsibilities: ​

• Configure and administer network technologies. ​
• Develop and design network solutions. ​
• Manage WAN connections. ​
• Optimize network performance and ensure network security. ​

Qualifications: ​

• Bachelor of Science degree with twelve (12) or more years of experience or a Masters degree with ten (10) or more years of experience. ​
• Proficiency in Cisco ACI, Cisco Prime, Tetration, Cisco OTV, VMware NSX, and enterprise wireless networks. ​
• Security Certifications (Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA, AWS, CISSP, GIAC, or other security certifications). 

Educational Requirements: ​

• Bachelor of Science Degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering. A Masters degree is preferred. 

Work Locations:

• Work must be performed on-site at all DPSCS locations across the State, with potential authorization for remote work at the discretion of the Contract Monitor. ​
• Primary work locations include DPSCS Reisterstown Road Plaza Office Center (RPOC) in Baltimore, MD, and Maryland State Police (MSP) in Pikesville, MD. ​
• Secondary work locations include various DPSCS facilities across the State.
